Lottery Grant
Following several months of search for funding, Louise Walsgrove, Clerk to the Council has been successful in obtaining a grant towards the cost of installing Outdoor Adult Exercise Equipment. The equipment will be installed adjacent to the children’s playground in the Parish Hall grounds. It will provide adults with a wonderful opportunity of exercising in the fresh air at the same time as keeping an eye on their young ones playing on the playground equipment. It is anticipated that the equipment will be installed sometime in August.
Following a few hiccups the equipment was finally installed late in October coinciding with 'half term'. Of course, it was the centre of attraction; young people flocked to have a go! Once term started, the dedicated adult exercisers had an opportunity to try it out!
It is proving to be a real success! Minsterley Youth Club members use it, members of the local football team and some elderly residents. Was the waiting worth it? Yes!
