Application for Grants
The Parish Hall Management Committee applied for a grant from the Local Joint Committee to tarmac the carpark that hasn't been surfaced; it was big disappointment to learn that the application was not successful!
The matter was discussed at the December meeting and a resolution was passed that the Clerk should apply for a grant from the Awards for All Lottery; Louise Walsgrove completed the application and it was sent on Monday 28 December; let's all keep our fingers crossed that the application will be successful and the long awaited work on the carpark can be done.
The poor state of the Public Notice Board on the bridge has always been a problem; important notices are posted only to be covered up or moved entirely by other notices!
When the work on Minsterley Bridge starts in February, the old notice board will be removed; so it is timely that a replacement is organised.
An application for £5,000 has been sent to the Local Joint Committee and the Council is confident that it will be successful. The site of a new board will be on the Parish Hall wall facing the entrance to the carpark.
